Tickets usually go on sale about 4 weeks before a production opens. Tickets purchased in advance can be picked up at the theater on the night of the performance only, starting about one hour before curtain. Seating is general admission; we recommend picking up your tickets at least fifteen minutes prior to curtain. Shows, unless otherwise noted, begin at 8:15, or 3:15 for Sunday matinees. We cannot guarantee late seating. (Note: advance sales are final. There are no refunds for unused tickets unless a performance is cancelled. Contact us IN ADVANCE if you need to reschedule already purchased tickets or if you are delayed or have an emergency.)

Waiting List
For sold out shows, we usually have some tickets available at the door the night of the show. If so, we release the tickets to a waiting list which we start at the theater when we open the box office about 75 minutes before curtain. You have to be here in person to get on the waiting list and can sign up for a maximum of two tickets. Cast and crew cannot put you on the waiting list. Please note: door sales are cash or check only (no credit cards).
Waiting List information

Online Ticket Purchase with Credit Card:
You can purchase advance tickets on our secure online sales page. A $1 per ticket service fee will be charged for online purchases.

Phone Purchase with Credit Card:
You can purchase tickets by phone using a credit card by calling our Box Office at 919.682.3343. If you reach our voice mail, please leave your name and number and the best time to reach you in person, and we will call you back. (Please do not leave credit card numbers in your message.) There is no added fee for phone purchases.

Purchase with Season Vouchers:
If you have 2011-12 Season Vouchers, you can purchase tickets by phone, or at our box office when you attend.
To purchase by phone just call our Box Office at 919.682.3343 at any time, and leave a message telling us the day and date you want to attend and the number of tickets you are purchasing with Vouchers. We will call you back to confirm, and debit your Season Voucher account for the number of Vouchers you are using. There is no added fee when using Season Vouchers to purchase tickets.

Door Sales:
Tickets can be purchased at the box office the night of a show starting about an hour before curtain, subject to availability. Door purchases are by cash or by personal check. (We do not currently accept credit cards for ticket purchases at the door.) If you have Season Vouchers, you can use them to purchase your tickets at the door, but we recommend purchasing in advance to save you time. (Note that Season Vouchers do NOT guarantee ticket availability at the door if a show is sold out and you haven't reserved.) There is no added fee for door sales.

Seating:
Seating is general admission; seating usually begins about 15 to 20 minutes prior to curtain. Come early for best choice of seats. If you have special seating needs, please phone ahead and we will be glad to make arrangements for you.

Previews and Bargain–Price Shows:
For pay-what-you-can ($5 minimum) previews and similar bargain price shows, ticket sales are at the door only, with cash or check (no advance purchase, no credit cards).

Senior/Military Rate
Seniors (62+) and active duty military are eligible for a $2 ticket discount. Just indicate the Senior/Military rate when purchasing online or by phone, then show your i.d. when you pick up your tickets the night of the show. You can also request the Senior/Military rate when purchasing at the box office.

Students:
Student tickets are $5 either in advance or at the door with a current student i.d. There is a $1 service fee for student tickets purchased online, but no fee for phone or door purchases. If a show is sold out, and there is a waiting list, students on the waiting list can pay the student rate IF they get in.

Volunteers:
If you'd like to see a show for free AND help Manbites Dog, consider volunteering to help with front of house duties. We generally use two volunteers at each performance. To sign up, call our Voice Mail number, 919.682.3343, and tell us the specific performance you'd like to volunteer for. We'll call you back to confirm. Volunteers need to arrive no later than a little before 7:00 p.m. the night of the show (2 p.m. on Sundays), and assist before the show, at intermission, and briefly after the show. Tasks include concession sales, box office, ushering, and a quick post-show cleanup.

Comps:
Comps and reviewer tickets can be reserved by phone at our voice mail number, 919.682.3343.

Concessions:
Concessions (beer, wine, coffee, sodas, bottled water) are for sale in the lobby prior to the performance and during intermission (if there is one). Complimentary snacks (cookies, pretzels, etc.) are also available. We DO allow drinks in the performance space.

Restaurants:
A good selection of restaurants can be found in or near downtown, in the Brightleaf Square/West Village area, Ninth Street, and in the American Tobacco area. We recommend Geer Street Garden, directly across the street from us, as a great place to have a casual dinner before the show, or grab something to eat afterwards. Give us a call if you would like restaurant recommendations. If you are dining at a restaurant prior to attending, please allow enough time to finish your meal and pick up your tickets prior to curtain.
