Inspired by Euripides and the Electric Slide, Keats and Cava, Baudelaire and Bordeaux, pop-artists Pomplamoose and plastic grapes, carafes and cafes, The Year of Empty Wine Bottles promises a fabulous evening of brooding complexity, refined sensuality, and sparkling zest (or is that zesty sparkle?).

Dance artist Killian Manning has been making work for over 20 years. In Boston, Killian was a member of Susan Rose and DanceWorks, served on the dance faculties of DanceWorks, Radcliffe, and the Boston Conservatory, and founded her company, No Forwarding Address. In 1988 she relocated to North Carolina and served on the dance faculty at UNC-Chapel Hill and at the Ballet School of Chapel Hill from 1989 to 1995. She received funding from numerous state and local arts agencies, and was named "Best in The Triangle" in dance for four years. Her award-winning choreography has been presented in Salt Lake City, Boston, Chicago, Birmingham, and North Carolina. Since completing her Ph.D. in Performance Studies and returning to the Triangle in 2004, she has been on the faculty at UNC-G, choreographing for Durham Academy and the Friends School, teaching at the Ballet School, and making work with friends old and new.
