WHEN AND WHERE?
Saturday March 27, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park

WHAT IS IT?
The Great Human Race is the Volunteer Center's annual 5K Nonprofit Walk, which is offered as a fundraising event to all Triangle nonprofit and public agencies. Manbites Dog is taking part for the second time this year.

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
It's simple! Just ask friends, family, and co-workers to sponsor you as a participant in the Great Human Race to raise money for Manbites Dog. You can participate by taking the 5K fun walk, OR by competing in the 5K run, OR by showing up to cheer on others, OR even by just fundraising but not attending! (If you want to compete in the 5K RUN, you need to register and pay a fee; for details go to www.greathumanrace.org )

HOW MUCH ARE YOU TRYING TO RAISE?
Our overall fundraising goal is $5,000. If we can get just 50 people to raise just $100 in sponsorships each, we'll make our goal!

TELL ME ABOUT THE PRIZES!
The Volunteer Center will be awarding prizes to the overall winners:
— FIRST PRIZE for the individual who raises the most money is a weekend stay at the Washington Duke Inn and Golf Course plus a $350 Wal-Mart Gift Card and a $100 Harris Teeter Gift Card.
— SECOND PRIZE: A $250 Wal-Mart Gift Card and a $100 Harris Teeter Gift Card.
— THIRD PRIZE: A $100 Wal-Mart Gift Card and a $100 Harris Teeter Gift Card.
— YOUTH PRIZE: the person under age 18 who raises the most money will win a $100 Wal-Mart Gift Card

Even if you're not in the top three, there are other awards. If you raise more than:
— $50 you get a free Great Human Race T-shirt
— $100 you are entered into a door prize drawing to be held at Race opening ceremonies. (Winners or their representatives must be present.)
— $250 free Great Human Race sweatshirt

AND THERE'S MORE — Manbites Dog will award a packet of season passes to the top Manbites Dog fundraiser!

$$$ MATCHING CHALLENGE $$$!
Need more incentive to participate? The BIN Foundation has announced they will match every dollar raised up to $2,500! That's right, $2,500 in free money, just waiting for us to claim it.

Edie will arrange to give you a Participant Packet with instructions, and a donation collection envelope. But contact us soon -- donations need to be turned in to Manbites Dog by Friday March 19!
