A dream theater meditation on how art survives in the midst of a firestorm. The madness of World War II is the backdrop for the hope and passion of its players, including Adolf Hitler, Anna Akhmatova, Käthe Kollwitz, Josef Stalin and Dmitri Shostakovich. An original adaptation of the 2005 National Book Award winning novel.
